Local Band seeks National Recognition.

This years WARP TOUR is launching the 10th annual "Battle of the Bands," and many up and coming musicians are seeking to use the competition as an outlet for success. Among the many bands participating is R-KAY, a local band with a global vibe and style. I was first introduced to R-KAY's unique sound through a friend and co-worker Jennifer, whom has two cousins that make-up the band.

The "Battle of the Bands" competition is simple; all the contestants post two of their songs online, and then market their sound to as many as possible. The winner of the competition will be the band that has the highest amount of individual listener's. In order for each listener to count in the bands overall total, both songs must be listened to from beginning to end.

R-KAY is "A talented band with an alternative/rock retro-euro sound. . R-KAY recently finished recording their first album "Superstar SYndrome" at Crescent moon records in Miami and Capital Records in Los Angeles. R-KAY is currently building a grass-roots base, they are listed on many major sites including Myspace and Purevolume and are listed as the #1 band in Miami on musolist.com.R-KAY is guaranteed to give you a performance that you will never forget!" (http://www.battleofthebands.com/bb10/bands/rkay/).

After listening to R-KAY myself, I felt compelled to expose their talent in any way I could. Hopefully this article will convince you to open your ears to a new sound and quite possibly a new favorite artist.
